It is important that we allow students the ability to search for media to support their learning. We also have the responsibility to teach them how to search safely and legally. The first three listed are websites that students can access to search and use free photos.
This site can be used to search for copyright free images. It will also download the photographer's credits with the photo.
This site is to search for copyright free images. A good rule of thumb is to search for the photos yourself, save to a folder for students to access from your folder.
Creativecommons.org is a website that is very helpful when you want to search for free images to use for your websites. Please note that though the images are free, it does not mean it is child friendly; hence, this is not a link for your students.
This link will take you to more suggested sites to find free images. Again, this link is for teachers, not students! If you want students to use these images, please harvest them on your own and then share with students.
